The benefits of training will include, but is not limited to, the
following:
A primary benefit of training is the intimate familiarization with, and
hands on experience, of the complete product line which the student may encounter in his
marketing area.
The training center, or classroom environment, place the complete product
line within easy reach of the student, allowing him the opportunity to
interact with each piece and compare product features, advantages and
benefits. Equipment familiarity will not only generate a high level of
student confidence, but will ingrain in him knowledge of the true
excellence of the product. This will lead to empowerment in the field that
competitors will find hard to surmount.
The mere fact that students are in close proximity, in a classroom
environment, lends itself to the free-flow of information and experience
sharing, thus enhancing learning and generates that essential enthusiasm
that leads to excellence and competitiveness in the field. It also enables
the instructor to provide information in a learning environment void of
distractions so prevalent in the normal workplace.
In the service training environment, opportunity is provided each student
with hands on experience in the proper care and repair of the product. The knowledge of efficient repair procedures and time saving
techniques will enable the student to be more professional
when in front of his customer. As the student responds to up-to-date
service information from the instructor, the learning process is
accelerated and the confidence level of the student enhanced.
The training center environment is a great setting for disseminating
information through audio-visual resources, brochures, and training manuals. Knowing
that students retain more of what they see and less of what they hear, it
becomes important to enlighten and challenge them innovatively for maximum
impact. The experience needs to be
memorable. The training center environment is also conducive to immediate
student questions and feedback.
Perhaps one of the most underestimated benefits of training center
education is the professional and social interaction afforded students
from different marketing areas to "compare" notes and improve their
effectiveness based upon experiences learned from one another.
